0xCasinos score: what it measures
The 0xCasinos score rates how much a casino commits to in writing and whether its license checks out at the regulator. It draws on three sources:
- The casino’s own terms, help center and policies, each dated. These are the same research records behind each review and its tabs.
- The license record, checked at the regulator.
- The casino’s public bet feed.
The score doesn’t rate fun, game choice or bonus size. Nothing in it comes from a deposit or a withdrawal. Our real-money tests are coming soon, and each review will show them next to the score, dated.
Score credits: how each question counts
Each research area asks the same questions as its tab on the casino page. Every question earns credit for what the casino’s documents do:
- Answered clearly: full credit (1).
- Answered two different ways in its own documents: half (0.5).
- Only pointed at (“shown in the cashier”, “at our discretion”): a quarter (0.25).
- Not published: nothing (0).
A question we haven’t checked doesn’t count either way, so the area is scored over the questions we did check. An area gets a score when its tab is published, or when we checked at least 50% of its questions.
Silence counts as a checked question. A casino that publishes nothing about withdrawals gets no credit for those questions.
Unrated casinos: why some have no score
A casino gets a score only when at least 4 of the six research areas are scored. If we haven’t read a casino’s documents yet, its page shows the bet data and no score. A score from the feed alone would say nothing about licenses, withdrawals or KYC.
Can a casino change its 0xCasinos score?
Yes, but only by changing what it publishes. Scores are recomputed from the research records at every build. Nobody types a number, and no casino can pay for a position.
